Quibbley looks for experienced academic writers to work on print and digital projects in the humanities and social sciences. Ideal candidates will hold at least a master’s degree in English or a related field and have experience in writing text that is accessible to a general audience. Writers should submit samples of their work. Doctoral students are encouraged to apply.
Quibbley seeks freelancers for both copyediting and substantive editing. We work in a variety of subjects areas, especially in the humanities and social sciences. Editors work collaboratively with one another in maintaining style and addressing other concerns, such as voice and structure. Ideal candidates will hold a degree in English or a related field and have professional editing experience.
Quibbley hires scholars as subject matter experts in their area of research. Subject matter experts serve as advisors on projects, providing guidance on the organization and content of a project. They also act as peer reviewers and help identify other scholars to write essays. Subject matter experts must hold a PhD in their field and be affiliated with a college or university.
